Our Heart Behind Alderwood Crossing
We’re Paul and Sandy Culbertson. Alderwood Crossing isn’t just a venue to us — it’s the fulfillment of a dream that has been growing in our hearts for years.
Paul serves as the pastor at Wellspring Community Church in Escanaba, and together we’ve spent our lives walking with people through the joys and the struggles of life. Out of that calling, God placed on our hearts the desire to create a place where people could gather, celebrate, heal, and find peace. Alderwood Crossing was born out of that dream.
Every corner of this property has been prayed over. We regularly ask God to bless the couples, families, and friends who will step foot here — that their time at Alderwood would be filled with joy, laughter, and memories that last a lifetime.
But this place is about more than just weddings and events. It’s about giving back. Each year, we set aside a few weeks where Alderwood Crossing is given freely to churches, pastors, non-profits, and organizations that are making a difference. Whether it’s a retreat, a time of rest, or an opportunity to gather, we want this place to bless others just as we have been blessed.
Sandy and I have always believed that what we’ve been entrusted with isn’t just for us — it’s meant to be shared. Our hope is that every person who comes here feels welcomed, cared for, and reminded of what truly matters.
When you choose Alderwood Crossing, you’re not just booking a venue. You’re stepping into a story rooted in faith, family, and generosity — a story we pray will intersect with your own in ways that you’ll carry with you for years to come.
