Booking & Deposits

Deposit & Security

A $500 Security/Cleanup Deposit is required and refundable after your event if the property is left in good condition.

Until the deposit is received, your date remains open to other bookings.

In-Season (May–October)

Weekend Package – $4,500

At booking (non-refundable): $1,485

12 months prior: $1,485

6 months prior: $1,530

Midweek Package – $3,000

At booking (non-refundable): $990

12 months prior: $990

6 months prior: $1,020

Off-Season (November–April)

Weekend Package – $3,000

Additional Notes

$500 Security/Cleanup Deposit is required separately and is fully refundable if the property is left in good condition.

Late Bookings (within 12 months of event):

12–6 months out: 50% due at booking (non-refundable), 50% due 6 months prior

Less than 6 months out: 100% due at booking (non-refundable)

Cancelation & Refund Policy:

More than 12 months prior: The initial 33% deposit is fully refundable.

6–12 months prior: The deposit and the 12-month payment are non-refundable

Less than 6 months prior: All payments made are non-refundable

This policy helps us keep our calendar fair to couples and ensures our dates remain available for those who are ready to celebrate with us.

Venue Access

Weddings include exclusive access from Friday at 12 PM through Sunday at 12 PM.

This gives you time to decorate, rehearse, celebrate, and wrap up without stress.

Additional days may be added before or after your event, subject to availability, for $400 per weekday (Mon–Thu).

Alderwood Lodge at Alderwood Crossing (sleeps 14) is included in your booking.

Guest Capacity

Alderwood Crossing can host up to 200 + guests outdoors. (If more are needed, let us know. You are welcome to rent and set up more tents)

For weddings of 75 guests or fewer, Alderwood Lodge can be used indoors for the ceremony or reception.

Weather Plans

There is no on-site indoor option for large weddings. We recommend planning for your rented tents to serve as both a reception space and a backup for the ceremony in case of rain.

For smaller weddings (75 or fewer), Alderwood Lodge can be beautifully decorated and comfortably accommodate guests indoors.

Restrooms

Alderwood Lodge includes two restrooms with two stalls each.

For weddings with more than 75 guests, couples are required to rent one portable restroom per 75 guests beyond that number.

Camping

Tent and RV camping is available on-site for $50 per tent or RV per night.

There are no water or electric hookups beyond limited extension cord use.

Camping is at the discretion of the bride and groom or event host. All sites must remain neat and tidy and should be packed up or cleaned during the wedding and reception to keep the grounds beautiful.

Alcohol

Alcohol is allowed but must comply with Michigan state law. Couples are required to carry host liquor liability insurance.

No alcohol may be served to anyone under 21.

Licensed bartenders are recommended, and they may refuse service to intoxicated guests.

Insurance

A Certificate of Insurance is required for all events.

Coverage must include general liability of at least $1,000,000 per occurrence / $2,000,000 aggregate, plus host liquor liability if alcohol will be served.

The policy must list Alderwood Crossing LLC as an additional insured.

Proof of coverage is required 30 days before your wedding.

We recommend trusted providers such as Eventsured, BriteCo, or The Event Helper.

Vendors

Couples may hire the vendors of their choice.

All vendors must carry their own insurance, releasing Alderwood Crossing from liability.

Décor & Send-Offs

No lit candles are permitted inside Alderwood Lodge.

Sparkler send-offs are allowed outdoors.

Bubbles are allowed outdoors but not indoors.

No glitter or confetti of any kind inside, and must be approved for outside use.

Firepit may be used only in designated areas and with the event hosts permission.

Fireworks are not permitted.

Smoking Policy

Smoking and vaping are not allowed inside any building.

Designated outdoor smoking areas will be provided.

Trash & Cleanup

Couples and their vendors are responsible for bagging and removing trash at the end of the event.

Alderwood Crossing will provide outdoor bins for bagged trash to simplify cleanup.

Lodging

Your booking includes Alderwood Lodge at Alderwood Crossing, a 3-bedroom, 2-bath retreat that sleeps up to 14 guests. With a full kitchen, bar area, walk-in showers, and inviting gathering spaces, the Lodge provides the perfect place for your wedding party or family to relax and prepare for the big day.
